Supports multi-thread parallel processing, built-in Git, and sandbox isolation—high-permission actions like network access will trigger approval pop-ups, and by default, it can only access the current project directory. Key points to note: Only supports Apple Silicon; Intel Macs are out of luck. Can sync with IDE plugins, supports voice input, and MCP configurations are shared across the app, command line, and IDE. If you log in with an API key, some features are restricted, and cloud threads won’t work. Claude Code, Cursor, and now Codex App—all prioritize or even exclusively support Mac.
