The resolution of the Bithumb airdrop mishap is here! It resulted in an actual loss of 1,788 BTC (around $120 million), which will be covered by the platform. Apparently, under South Korean law, if an exchange's own issue causes users to profit, the profits cannot be reclaimed. Additionally, users who sold BTC at a lower price will be reimbursed the difference plus a 10% compensation. All users were also given 20,000 KRW as compensation during the incident (this time, let’s not accidentally send BTC instead of KRW), along with 7 days of fee-free trading.
