National Bureau of Statistics: By the end of the year, the total number of employed persons nationwide was 725.04 million, of which 475.35 million were employed in urban areas, accounting for 65.6% of the total employed population. Throughout the year, 12.67 million new urban jobs were created nationwide, an increase of 110,000 compared to the previous year. The annual average surveyed urban unemployment rate nationwide was 5.2%. By the end of the year, the surveyed urban unemployment rate was 5.1%. The total number of migrant workers nationwide was 301.15 million, an increase of 0.5% compared to the previous year. Among them, 180.06 million were migrant workers working outside their hometowns, an increase of 0.8%, while 121.09 million were local migrant workers, an increase of 0.1%.
