[Only Nine Empty Super Oil Tankers Left in the Persian Gulf as Middle East Oil Storage Capacity Nears Its Limit] According to a report by Golden Finance, ship tracking data shows that the number of oil tankers available for storage in the Persian Gulf, operated by major oil-producing countries in the Middle East, is rapidly decreasing, with only nine empty super oil tankers remaining. Once these tankers are filled, onshore storage tanks will quickly reach capacity, leading to the shutdown of more oil fields. Each super oil tanker can carry approximately 2 million barrels of crude oil, equivalent to about five hours of Saudi Arabia's national production. Currently, Iran has acted on its threats, using drones and missiles to attack multiple vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. Saudi Arabia and the UAE are the only two regional oil-producing countries capable of diverting crude oil via pipelines to bypass the Strait of Hormuz. These two nations have been increasing exports from terminals outside the region, but neither has fully avoided reliance on the waterway's transport capacity.
