One of the most noteworthy things about Ethereum recently. Now, when transferring Ethereum to CEX or L2, it takes 13 minutes to confirm. In the future, it only takes 13 seconds, which is 60 times faster. How to achieve it? Now there is an FCR (Fast Confirmation Rule), which is a fast confirmation rule that can be confirmed with a single slot. How was it done specifically? In the past, people relied on "counting blocks" and had to wait for enough blocks to pile up before they dared to believe it. Now, count the heads and see how many validators (those who pledged ETH) there are. Vote and say, "I see this block, confirm Everyone, within 13 seconds, which is one slot time, just nod and confirm, So, it can be said that the transfer is trustworthy. Is this the final confirmation? No. So, is it still reliable? reliable. Because the cost of an attack is very high, exceeding 20 billion US dollars, normal people would not do such a thing, it is not worth the loss. If there is a network card or other extreme situation, it will automatically "brake", slowly returning to the 13 minute mode without causing the user to lose money. Another advantage is the FCR solution, which does not require a major upgrade across the entire network (without hard forks). Just add a switch on the Ethereum client (such as Prysm), and changing the code for the exchange and L2 is also very simple. Just use the existing "safe" tag to check. When can I go up? At present, it is estimated to take about 1-3 months. FCR can be opened as early as the end of March. This Q2, CEX, L2, and cross chain bridges can be connected and put into use. Who are the beneficiaries? The savings experience on CEX has been greatly improved, with savings being credited in just over 10 seconds. L2 chain can also generate profits, with fast transfer speed, no lag, significantly improved experience for playing DeFi, and affordable fees. For cross chain bridges, the same goes for fast transfers, reduced risks, and smoother asset flows. For ordinary users, this means that Ethereum L1 transfers feel like high-performance chains like Solana, while also providing the maximum security of Ethereum. This also means that on the Ethereum chain, this will stimulate the activity of stablecoins+DeFi, increase the activity on the Ethereum chain, and facilitate ETH to capture greater value.
