Direct contracting. Look at http://costpluswellness.com and review the contracts there. You will see there are groups like @bswhealth that are forward thinking and get it. They offer better rates than what many insurance companies can negotiate. Why ? With direct contracts the self insured employer can take responsibility for paying on time , with no underpayments or clawbacks and the employer can work with their members for their out of pocket costs rather than the hospital taking that risk.
