[Iranian Vice President Calls U.S. Position 'Fickle,' Reaffirms Importance of Strait Control]
Odaily Planet Daily reports, according to Al Jazeera, Iran's First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref stated that the Iranian negotiation team is 'bravely defending' national interests. Aref said: 'The opposing side's stance in negotiations is fickle, sometimes pleading under pressure, and other times adopting a stubborn attitude.' Aref also reaffirmed that Iran's control over the Strait of Hormuz is crucial. 'If we control the Strait of Hormuz, there will be no need to wait for sanctions to be lifted; sanctions will effectively become meaningless,' he said. (Jin10)
