⚡ The U.S. Senate has confirmed Kevin Walsh as the new Federal Reserve Chair with a vote of 54 to 45.
This vote is unprecedented, marking the most severe partisan divide in history, with only one Democrat joining the Republican majority in voting in favor.
Three records were simultaneously broken:
- Approval votes dropped to the lowest in modern history
- Opposition votes rose to the highest in modern history
- Bipartisan support was nearly nonexistent
It’s safe to say that the Federal Reserve’s 120-year tradition of independence has completely collapsed!
