Golden Finance reports that on June 8 local time, U.S. President Trump stated during a phone campaign event for South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham that the United States would achieve "full victory" over Iran within the next two weeks. Trump mentioned that negotiations between the U.S. and Iran are still ongoing, and Iran is seeking an agreement, expressing willingness to accept key conditions proposed by the U.S., including not possessing nuclear weapons. He further stated: "I believe we are winning this contest, and true victory will come within the next two weeks. When we announce full victory, it will be a complete victory, and it will happen very soon. At that time, oil prices will drop significantly." Reports from U.S. media noted that this is not the first time Trump has suggested "major progress" within two weeks. The U.S.-Iran ceasefire agreement announced on April 7 Eastern Time was initially set to "last two weeks" to allow both sides to finalize negotiations for a permanent agreement to end the conflict.
