#Aave Founder Proposes Reform for Ethereum Foundation#

Aave founder Stani Kulechov recently proposed 12 reforms to the Ethereum Foundation (EF) budget and operational structure, aiming to address the EF's current excessive spending and financial management issues, and achieve sustainable development. Stani suggests cutting the EF's annual budget from $130 million to $30 million, keeping the number of employees under 80, streamlining the team structure, eliminating unnecessary positions, and ensuring 80% of the team members are technical personnel. He also recommends establishing a five-person leadership committee chaired by Vitalik Buterin, and strengthening financial management by diversifying investments into low-risk long-term assets (LRSTs), DeFi projects, and Ethereum ecosystem profit-generating projects, using staking earnings to convert to stablecoins, and generating additional income through DeFi. Moreover, Stani suggests building a sustainable revenue model through transaction fees or staking rewards to support a reasonable EF budget. Stani believes that the current EF's oversized team can lead to communication breakdowns, and streamlining to a more efficient size will help achieve long-term sustainability. It's worth noting that Vitalik Buterin also announced changes to the Ethereum Foundation leadership, aiming to achieve five goals, which echoes Stani's suggestions to some extent.
