### Musk division faces three lawsuits#

Elon Musk's "Department of Government Efficiency" (DOGE) has been hit with three lawsuits since Donald Trump's inauguration, alleging violations of the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA) of 1972. The suits were filed by the left-leaning legal group Democracy Forward, the National Security Counselors and Public Citizen, the State Democracy Defenders Fund, and the American Federation of Government Employees. They argue that DOGE is a "shadow agency" controlled by an "unelected billionaire" that lacks transparency and oversight. They claim that DOGE's members, largely comprised of tech executives, lack diversity and balance, and do not represent the interests of ordinary Americans. The lawsuits also point out that much of DOGE's communication takes place through the encrypted app Signal, lacking public access. This, they contend, could lead to short-sighted decisions due to a lack of perspective from federal workers. Although Musk previously stated that all DOGE actions would be publicly available online to ensure transparency, the plaintiffs claim this has not been the case. As of now, Musk, Trump, and their respective representatives have not responded to these allegations.
