#Aave Founder Proposes Reforms for the Ethereum Foundation#

Aave founder Stani Kulechov recently proposed 12 reform suggestions for the Ethereum Foundation (EF) budget and operational structure. He believes that the EF currently has excessive spending and fund management problems and suggests implementing measures such as cutting expenses, streamlining personnel, optimizing team structure, reforming leadership architecture, enhancing fund management, and establishing a revenue model to achieve sustainable development. Specific suggestions include reducing annual expenses from $130 million to $30 million, keeping the number of employees below 80, and eliminating unnecessary positions such as executives, advisors, part-time roles, and interns. He also suggests allocating 80% of the team members to technical personnel and dividing them into small 5-person technical teams focused on specific areas. Furthermore, Stani recommends establishing a 5-member leadership committee chaired by Vitalik Buterin and optimizing fund management by internalizing the fund management team, diversifying funds into low-risk long-term assets, DeFi projects, and Ethereum ecosystem profit-making projects, as well as converting staking rewards into stablecoins. Finally, Stani suggests establishing a sustainable revenue model through transaction fees or staking rewards to support a reasonable EF budget. Stani believes that the current EF's oversized team can lead to communication breakdowns, and streamlining to a more efficient size will help focus on long-term sustainable development. It is noteworthy that Vitalik Buterin also announced changes in the Ethereum Foundation leadership, stating that the move was aimed at achieving five goals.
