### Vitalik Responds to Foundation Controversy#

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin recently responded to the controversy surrounding the Ethereum Foundation (EF) leadership change on social media. He made it clear that he currently holds the decision-making power for the new EF leadership team. The ongoing reforms aim to introduce a formal board of directors to the foundation, but until then, the decision-making power remains with him personally. Vitalik criticized the pressure tactics on social media, stating that they disrupt the working environment for talented developers and make EF management more difficult. He pointed out that this behavior is not only unhelpful in achieving the goals but also decreases his interest in catering to these demands. Additionally, he defended Aya Miyaguchi against accusations, pointing out translation biases in the relevant quotes and criticizing the attacks against her as "pure malice." Vitalik believes that the EF should focus on the core Ethereum areas that it can effectively represent, while creating space for other organizations (like Consensys or similar institutions) to develop other aspects of the ecosystem in a more suitable format, some of which might be better suited to a for-profit model.
