### Vitalik Responds to Ethereum Foundation Controversy#

Vitalik Buterin recently addressed the controversy surrounding the Ethereum Foundation (EF) leadership change on social media. He clarified that he currently holds the decision-making power within the EF's new leadership team, and the ongoing reforms aim to introduce a formal board of directors. However, until then, decision-making authority remains with him. He criticized the pressure tactics on social media, calling them detrimental to the work environment for talented developers and making EF management more difficult. He noted that such behavior is not conducive to achieving the goals and has lowered his interest in catering to these demands. He also defended Aya Miyaguchi, pointing out translation bias in the relevant quotes and condemning the attacks against her as "pure malice." Moreover, Vitalik expressed his vision for the EF's future direction, arguing that the EF should focus on core Ethereum areas where it can effectively represent the project, while creating space for other organizations (like Consensys or similar institutions) to develop other aspects of the ecosystem in a more suitable manner. Some of these areas, he suggested, are even better suited for profit-driven models.
