#Coinbase says cryptocurrency is a Trump priority#

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said at the World Economic Forum that U.S. President Donald Trump is excited about a Bitcoin strategic reserve and wants to be the “first Bitcoin president.” Armstrong believes Bitcoin is a better form of money than gold and predicted its price will “go into the millions, even billions.” He believes it’s crucial for governments to hold Bitcoin over time and said that finance ministers from around the world are “increasingly interested” in Bitcoin strategic reserves. Coinbase’s U.S. policy director, Kara Calvert, also said that while Trump did not mention cryptocurrency in his inaugural address, she is “very optimistic” about his stance on crypto and believes Coinbase will remain “neutral” if Trump launches his own digital token. Overall, Coinbase believes that crypto is a priority for Trump and believes it will usher in a new stage of capitalism and economic freedom.
