#Airdrop Frenzy: $14.9 Billion#

In 2024, the crypto space witnessed an airdrop frenzy, with a total of $14.91 billion worth of tokens distributed to users through various airdrop campaigns. Hyperliquid topped the list with $1.34 billion in airdrops, rewarding over 90,000 users. Closely following was Starknet, where 1.3 million addresses received 700 million tokens worth $1.33 billion. Pengu, Wormhole, and Jupiter also secured spots in the top five with airdrop amounts of $1.15 billion, $896 million, and $891 million, respectively. From a domain perspective, the L2 space dominated with $4.22 billion in airdrops, followed by DeFi and L1 with $3.31 billion and $2.63 billion, respectively. Gaming & Meme, Liquid Staking, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects also received token airdrops worth $2.28 billion, $1.27 billion, and $373 million, respectively. This airdrop frenzy indicates that crypto projects are actively leveraging airdrops to attract users, expand their community size, and drive project development.
