#Myanmar's Northern Telecom Fraud Group Eradicated#

The crackdown on telecom fraud gangs in northern Myanmar has achieved significant breakthroughs, but the criminal situation remains severe and complex. According to the Ministry of Public Security, by the end of 2024, over 53,000 Chinese suspects involved in telecom fraud had been apprehended, and the notorious "Four Families" criminal group in Kachin State, northern Myanmar, had been completely dismantled. All large-scale telecom fraud parks in northern Myanmar near the Chinese border have been eradicated. Currently, the cases against the "Four Families" criminal group are gradually entering the litigation stage. Despite these notable achievements, criminals are constantly updating and upgrading their tools using new technologies such as blockchain, virtual currencies, and AI, intensifying the offensive and defensive struggle and making the criminal situation even more severe and complex.
