#Stablecoin trading will surge.#

Cryptocurrency trading firm Wintermute predicts a significant increase in stablecoin trading in 2025, primarily driven by large enterprise activities settling in stablecoins and continued institutional investor interest in cryptocurrencies. Wintermute also forecasts that the US will establish a strategic Bitcoin reserve, with countries like China, the UAE, and Europe following suit, and that major banks will offer cryptocurrency spot trading for clients. These predictions are based on the significant growth in cryptocurrency market trading volume in 2023, including over-the-counter (OTC) volumes exceeding three times their previous levels, derivatives trading volumes growing over 300%, and OTC daily volumes reaching a record $2.24 billion. Wintermute believes that cryptocurrency will integrate more deeply into the global financial infrastructure through means such as ETFs, corporate holdings, tokenization, and structured products, thus driving the growth of stablecoin trading.
