#Ethereum Foundation Reform#

The Ethereum Foundation (EF) is undergoing a major reform, a process that has been ongoing for nearly a year. The goal of the reform is to enhance the technical expertise of the EF leadership, improve two-way communication with ecosystem participants (including users, application developers, wallets, and L2s), strengthen execution and speed, attract new talent, actively support application developers, and ensure that core values such as privacy, open source, and censorship resistance are implemented in the application layer. Vitalik Buterin has made it clear that the EF will not pursue ideological shifts, will not excessively lobby regulators or politicians, and will never become an arena for interest groups. The background for this reform is the widespread criticism the EF previously faced from the community, which argued that its leadership lacked technical competence, communication with the ecosystem was insufficient, and execution was sluggish. This reform aims to respond to the community's call for improved efficiency and effectiveness from the EF, ultimately better serving the Ethereum ecosystem.
