#Ethereum Foundation Reform#

The Ethereum Foundation (EF) is undergoing a major reform, a process that has been ongoing for nearly a year. The goal of the reform is to enhance the leadership's technical capabilities, improve two-way communication with all parties in the ecosystem (including users, application developers, wallets, and L2s), strengthen execution and speed, attract new talent, actively support application developers, and ensure that core values such as privacy, open source, and censorship resistance are implemented at the application layer. Vitalik Buterin emphasized that the EF will not pursue an ideological shift, nor will it excessively lobby regulators or political figures, and it will never become an arena for interest groups. The background of the reform is that the EF has been widely criticized by the community for its lack of technical leadership, insufficient communication with the ecosystem, and poor execution. Some people believe that the EF should be more proactive in supporting application developers and ensuring the decentralization and privacy of Ethereum. Vitalik Buterin also said that the EF should be more proactive in using the tools built in the ecosystem, even if it might mean that the EF is not completely neutral in this regard.
