Donald Trump will be officially sworn in as the 47th President of the United States at 12:00 p.m. EST (1:00 a.m. Beijing time) on January 20, and will return to the White House. The inauguration will include an official swearing-in ceremony, musical performances, a celebratory parade, and a series of formal balls. Musical performances and opening remarks will begin at 9:30 a.m. EST (10:30 p.m. Beijing time) on the main stage at the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol. Trump and Pence will then be sworn into office, and the President will deliver his inaugural address outlining his goals for the next four years. Afterwards, Trump will head to the President's office near the Senate to sign important documents and will attend a luncheon hosted by the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies. Later that evening, Trump will attend three inaugural balls - the Commanders Ball, the Liberty Inaugural Ball, and the Stars' Ball - and is expected to speak at all three events.
