The Capital Markets Board of Turkey (CMB) will issue coveted licenses to blockchain and cryptocurrency projects this year, and the 2025 Istanbul Blockchain Week (IBW) will herald the arrival of the Web3 era in Turkey.

Several giants in the Web3 space, including Coinbase and Binance, have applied for licenses, which is expected to shape the landscape of Web3 and solidify Turkey's position as a global hub. This regulatory milestone will make the 2025 Istanbul Blockchain Week a more influential and exciting event, showcasing Istanbul as a center for blockchain innovation.

This year's event successfully attracted thousands of Web3, blockchain, and gaming enthusiasts, and building on this foundation, we have plans in place to ensure next year's event draws the most renowned figures, brands, and projects in the industry.

Highlights of 2025 include:

• Roundtable discussions will bring together industry leaders for engaging dialogues and solution-oriented exchanges.
• The VC Connect platform will return, facilitating connections between investors and projects in the Web3 and blockchain space.
