🧐 I reshape my thinking with AI every day — here are some insights to share with you —
This morning, after my run, I read an article by Teacher Wan Weigang titled "How I Use AI (2025)."
I was amazed at how closely my habits of using AI mirrored his. How to use AI is something personal that cannot be taught; people can refer to it, but you must take action yourself. Most things come from practice:
I believe we are standing at a historical turning point:
An intelligent agent that is smarter than the vast majority of people is now available for your use at any time. The future's cognitive watershed is not about whether you use AI, but whether you use AI correctly.
AI can quickly reshape your cognition;
It is not just about finding information faster, but about making you a deeper, more perceptive, and more discerning person.
This is what Teacher Wan Weigang referred to: insight!
When AI becomes a mentor, the human task is not to repeat the existing answers in the world, but to continuously ask, "Is there a deeper insight than this?"
Here are some summaries and reflections:
- Four Core Insights —
1️⃣ Models are smarter than humans
AI (especially o3), and I also recommend ChatGPT. This may be my personal opinion, but after using all models, ChatGPT had the greatest impact on me. It possesses intelligence that surpasses most people, can explain complex theories, cite the latest papers, and generate high-value insights.
Compared to other AI models, o3 and GPT's in-depth research feels more like a mentor or even an intelligent agent.
It will engage in dialogue with you, seeking your fundamental and core thoughts.
2️⃣ Learning any issue should pursue "current best understanding"
With the help of AI, ordinary people can quickly achieve near-expert-level cognition, no longer relying on outdated or vague "mainstream judgments."
AI can integrate and explain the latest research findings in real-time, helping you reach a high level of understanding.
3️⃣ Long-term interaction with AI will change the brain
Interacting with AI is a highly proactive process that trains you to keenly capture high-value information and disdain low-quality information, enhancing your level of thinking.
This interaction is a leap in the way information is acquired, like a "soft brain-machine interface."
4️⃣ Insight is greater than correctness
Correctness is certainly important, but it is more about pursuing "insight" — a piercing understanding in complex and ambiguous areas.
AI excels at providing deep insights and can continuously guide you to ask, "Is there a deeper insight?"
- Three Key Usage Suggestions
1️⃣ Delegate tasks to AI immediately
Any thoughts, questions, or information should be thrown to AI for research, explanation, or verification at the first opportunity.
Maintain immediacy and delve deeper while your curiosity is high.
This is very important because if you do not seek answers immediately, our curiosity is limited, and we can easily lose interest or become lazy, missing opportunities.
Over time, developing this habit will significantly enhance the depth of your understanding of the world.
2️⃣ Make full use of AI's agent capabilities
Treat AI as an intelligent agent for "task execution," not just a Q&A tool.
You can assign complex tasks, such as filtering for investments, recommending new books, or conducting in-depth intelligence gathering.
AI can proactively and efficiently complete these tasks.
In the future, AI will have immense value in professional information processing.
3️⃣ Seek outputs with a personal touch
Utilize ChatGPT's memory function to cultivate AI's understanding of your personal preferences, style, and goals.
I have used GPT the longest, so it understands me well and can create unique ideas and thoughts for me.
The longer you use it, the more the AI's content should align with your unique needs, avoiding generic responses.
In the future, AI's understanding of you may even surpass that of friends and family, becoming a highly personalized cognitive assistant.
We should frequently ask AI, "What other suggestions do you have for me personally?" → to promote a deeper understanding of you by AI.
As Teacher Wan Weigang said: On the other hand, if the content output by AI is something anyone can ask, then it is not scarce. You must ensure it knows who you are, what you want, and understand your specific context.
