Trezor, the hardware wallet brand under Satoshilabs, said the feature is now integrated directly into its desktop app, routing transactions through private channels to curb front-running and similar tactics. The company told Bitcoin.com News that the protection applies to Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Base, and is designed to improve reliability when sending, swapping, or trading assets.
According to Trezor’s announcement, the implementation works automatically within the normal transaction flow. By obscuring pending transactions from opportunistic bots, the tool seeks to lower slippage during swaps, cut down on failed transactions, and deliver more predictable outcomes.
Merkle.io provides the underlying infrastructure for the private routing component, the company said. Trezor framed the addition as part of an ongoing push to ship practical security improvements inside its software without requiring extra setup from users.
Lauri Hänninen, product marketing lead at Trezor, told our newsdesk that the rollout is intended to give customers “greater confidence and control” when moving funds through Trezor Suite. The firm said the protection targets exploitative order-flow behaviors commonly associated with MEV on public mempools.
The company positioned the release as a continuation of its 2013-era mission to advance self-custody with open-source tools. Trezor further noted that the firm has expanded its lineup in recent years with both hardware and software offerings, alongside education initiatives such as Trezor Academy.
Trezor said the MEV protection capability is available immediately within Trezor Suite. The company did not disclose whether additional networks are planned or whether the routing option will be configurable in future versions. It specifically cites protection against front-running and sandwich attacks while preserving Suite workflows and fee selection for networks.
