Former Bank of England Analyst Calls to Prepare for a Financial Crisis if Alien Life Is Confirmed

The possibility of alien life being real and the general population’s reaction might result in different risks for the financial system.

Helen McCaw, a former analyst in financial security at the Bank of England, has called to take preventive action against the confirmation of alien life and the chaos it might bring to the current economic system.

McCaw recently sent a letter to Andrew Bailey, Governor of the Bank of England, examining the effects of such a declaration and how this might cause a reconfiguration of assets, favoring safe havens and cryptocurrencies.

McCaw explained:

“There might be extreme price volatility in financial markets due to catastrophising or euphoria, and a collapse in confidence if market participants feel uncertain on how to price assets using any of the familiar methods.”

She explains that bank failure and the collapse of the payment system might lead to riots in the streets. In this context, several scenarios might happen. First, investors could rush to the safety of hard assets such as gold, precious metals, and some government bonds.

McCaw believes that, if the disclosure includes a reveal of space tech, gold and other precious metals will lose their scarcity allure due to the expectation of increased availability from space sources.

Crypto assets might also shine, as she believes that “there might be a rush to digital currencies such as bitcoin, which may prove appealing if people question the legitimacy of government and lose trust in government-backed assets.”

While the U.S. Congress has held at least two high-profile hearings on the issue of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs), there is still no smoking gun pointing to the extraterrestrial origin of these.
