【MSX Institute · Daily Observation of US Stocks RWA】 is a signature daily report produced by the leading RWA trading platform MSX. Leveraging our strong macro research capabilities, we capture the core pulse of the global traditional US stock market, liquidity changes, and the RWA tokenization market, assisting you in strategically positioning quality assets.

Today's Observation

From July 22 to 23 Pacific Time, AMD held the Advancing AI 2026 conference in San Francisco, where it launched the next generation Instinct MI400 series accelerators, EPYC "Venice" server CPUs, and the Helios rack-level AI platform all at once. This marks a shift in the company's competitive focus from "single GPU catching up with Nvidia" to "full-stack AI infrastructure from chips to complete systems." CEO Lisa Su redefined the market space at the conference, stating that by 2030 the overall computing market size will reach $2 trillion, sending out more aggressive competitive signals: claiming that the Helios based on MI455X can outperform Nvidia's next-generation Vera Rubin platform in some key metrics, and Venice's performance significantly exceeds Intel Xeon and Nvidia Vera CPUs. On the client side, three leading AI companies, Meta, OpenAI, and Anthropic, have all secured gigawatt-level orders.

Data in One Minute

  • Triple Launch: Instinct MI400 series (Helios can integrate up to 72 MI455X accelerators), EPYC "Venice" (Zen6 architecture, up to 256 cores), Helios rack-level platform
  • Performance Claims: Helios surpasses Vera Rubin in some metrics; Venice reaches up to 3.4 times that of Intel Xeon and about 20% higher than Nvidia Vera CPU
  • Customer Orders: Meta 6 gigawatts, OpenAI 6 gigawatts (both received the maximum 160 million stock warrants issued by AMD, approximately equivalent to 10% equity in AMD), Anthropic 2 gigawatts (AMD's reverse investment in Anthropic up to $5 billion)
  • Delivery Rhythm: Helios has commenced production, with large-scale deployment expected within the year; Venice has entered full mass production, with servers expected to appear in Q4; OpenAI's first 1 gigawatts in the second half of 2026, and Anthropic's first 1 gigawatts in the first half of 2027
  • 2030 Market Outlook: Overall computing at $2 trillion, of which AI accelerators $1.4 trillion, data center CPUs $200 billion

MSX View

The main highlight of this launch event is AMD's change in positioning. From being a "substitute supplier for Nvidia GPUs," it upgrades to a "full-stack platform provider" offering CPU + GPU + network + software + complete systems, the so-called "third way." The collective investment by three leading AI companies in gigawatt-level orders is the strongest evidence for this narrative, as Meta, OpenAI, and Anthropic are not just buyers but also involved in warrants, equity investments, and deeper binding relationships. However, two points warrant caution: firstly, all performance claims such as "beating Vera Rubin" and "about 20% faster" come solely from AMD's one-sided statements, and Nvidia’s next-generation platform has not been compared, so the real gap can only be validated through actual deployment and third-party testing; secondly, the stock price fell instead of rising on the day of the good news, dipping nearly 5% during trading, reflecting that after an accumulated rise of about 160% this year, market expectations have been pushed to a high level, and "meeting expectations" is no longer sufficient to drive up the stock price. In other words, the market's focus is not on the performance claims made at the conference but on whether AMD can monetize the MI400 series, Venice, and Helios into sustained actual revenue, and catch up with Nvidia's moat in the CUDA software ecosystem.
