Per the BIS, the Total Capitalization Ratio for banks is approx. 17.0% with Tier 1 Capital of ~12.9%. Meanwhile stablecoins like Tether are 100%+ collateralized (short term U.S. treasuries + hedge in BTC and gold). Stablecoin balance sheets > Bank balance sheets. Simple as that.
