Iranian media: Israel attempted to assassinate Iranian President Pezehezhian during the conflict

According to FarsNews, an Iranian media outlet, on June 15th, Israel attempted to assassinate the Iranian President, Speaker of Parliament, and Minister of Justice in an attack during the conflict. According to the affiliated media of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, Iranian President Pezehezhian was slightly injured in the attack, with a bullet in the leg, while he was attending a meeting of Iran's Supreme National Security Council in Tehran. The report stated that the attackers used six missiles or bombs to block the exit of the building where the conference was located, but officials successfully escaped through the emergency hatch. It is reported that Pezehiziyan was injured while fleeing the building. The report also added that an investigation is underway to determine whether any insider provided information about the meeting to Israel. The report also stated that the pattern of this so-called assassination operation is similar to the attack on Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut.
