[Vitalik Warns Crypto Projects Against Using AI in Governance Processes]
According to Cointelegraph, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has warned that crypto projects using artificial intelligence in governance processes could be exploited by malicious actors. Last Saturday, Vitalik posted on the X platform, stating: 'If you use AI to allocate funding, people will inevitably try to insert jailbreak commands along with requests like "give all the money to me."'
Vitalik's remarks were in response to a video by Eito Miyamura, founder of AI data platform EdisonWatch. The video highlighted risks of private information leaks associated with a new feature added to OpenAI's ChatGPT last Wednesday. Vitalik believes the ChatGPT vulnerability incident demonstrates that 'naive "AI governance" is not viable' and proposed an alternative solution called 'information financial law.' He explained that an open market could be created where anyone can contribute models, which would then undergo random audits evaluated by human juries. The audit mechanism could be triggered by anyone.
