Beating the Left at Their Own Game Part 1: Offer the Left Status Big-tentism only makes sense for the right where there is naturally a lot of infighting. The left is really just a thin, long rectangle. There are those who are left and those who are even more left. There is no final destination because the nature of the leftist movement is to stay in motion. Leftists gain status with their ingroup by continuously undercutting each other on who can be more self-victimizing. This is why, as @spandrell4 points out, Leninism transformed into bioleninism. Material conditions in the modern world are simply not that bad, even for the underclass. So while the macro game between left and right is to fight against each other, the micro game of the right is to herd cats into a big round tent and the micro game of the left is to play tug-of-war against themselves along their long rectangle. So in a a sense, I agree with @curtis_yarvin that Reaganist incrementalism does not work to counteract the Borglike force of the left. The farther right you go, the more the rightist force pulls in every different direction while the farther left you go, the more unified the force is which pulls left in the same direction. If we do not come up with a good solution, historically, the naturally emergent reaction to this is a unification of the right under the banner of fascism where a right Borg is created to counteract the left Borg. Here the right adopts the frame of the left and some of the left’s characteristics to fight against them. This is the passive solution, a reactionary one, not an active one. Still I have hope for a third way. But first we should see the situation clearly and recognize that logic and reasoning will not persuade the left. You will never convince a leftist parent that they were mistaken in transitioning their children because to do so would be for them to admit that they mutilated or allowed to be mutilated, their own children. This level of cognitive dissonance cannot be overcome by dialectics alone. We should also recognize that the left plays for status. In other words, we cannot just offer them a better and more functional society; we must offer them status. This can happen in several ways. First, Christianity offers universal redemption and flattens status for everyone. Respectability is conferred to converts. We can honor left apostasy while the left punishes their own apostates. We can reduce the punishments for left apostasy while increasing status rewards for it. Where the Cathedral displaced the church, we must reconstitute the church and return it to its former standing. The First Estate position is the mediator between the other two Estates. Second, bad ideas don’t die from argumentation, they die from ridicule. We must make leftist views unfashionable to hold. These views must be seen as low status. Humor is a powerful weapon here. Luigi cannot be seen as a sex symbol so it is not enough that he meet with legal justice because legal justice is a rightist value. His image must be impaired to the point where women feel the ick. The Christian rockstar is a sex symbol. Oh you watch @hasanthehun? Eww gross. Chopping off your own dick is simply uncool. The true value of debate is to peacock intelligence and make the other side look retarded and cringe. Lastly, we must reconstruct the middle class which also represents the political center. Here material conditions do still matter to a degree in so far as status still has some correlation to economic standing. The youth ultimately does need housing. The left does not trust the right to establish what is fashionable. This cultural pull is more believable when it comes from the middle. If you share some common views with your friend, you are more likely to trust their tastes.(Galois Kevin)
