It’s important to be very honest upfront with what a job is (and isn’t). Otherwise you end up bringing people in that don’t actually want to work there.
Working at Coinbase is hard. We mention this a lot during the hiring process. It scares some people away, but that's actually good for both sides, and it helps us build a strong culture of mission-aligned people.
One other result we've seen from this is that Coinbase is known as a 'founder factory' - a great place to learn a lot, build a strong network, and then go on to found companies. We’re proud of this!(Brian Armstrong)
