#Ethereum Foundation Reform#

The Ethereum Foundation (EF) is undergoing a significant transformation, a process that has been underway for nearly a year. The goal of the reforms is to enhance the EF leadership's technical capabilities, improve two-way communication with various stakeholders in the ecosystem (including users, application developers, wallets, and L2s), strengthen execution and speed, attract new talent, actively support application developers, and ensure that core values such as privacy, open source, and censorship resistance are implemented at the application layer. Vitalik Buterin emphasizes that the EF will not pursue ideological shifts, excessively lobby regulators or political figures, or transform into an arena for interest groups. Specific measures of the reform include: introducing new talent, enhancing execution capabilities and speed, more actively supporting application developers, ensuring that crucial values and inalienable rights (especially privacy, open source, and resistance to censorship) are a reality for users including the application layer, and continuing to increase the use of decentralized and privacy technologies as well as the Ethereum chain, including for payments and fund management.At the same time, Vitalik Buterin also calls for new leadership, stating that the EF should utilize the tools built within the ecosystem, even if this means that the Ethereum Foundation might not appear completely neutral in this regard.
