#Trump officially assumes the presidency#

Donald Trump will be formally sworn in as the 47th President of the United States and return to the White House at 10:30 PM Beijing time on January 20, 2025. The inauguration ceremony will be held at St. John’s Church in Lafayette Square, a historic site in Washington, D.C., followed by a tea reception at the White House. Musical performances and opening remarks will begin at 9:30 AM EST (10:30 PM Beijing time on the 20th) on the main stage at the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol Building. Trump and Vance will then take the oath of office, and the President will deliver an inaugural address outlining his goals for the next four years. Afterwards, Trump will travel to the President's office near the Senate to sign important documents and attend a luncheon hosted by the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies. Later that evening, Trump will attend three inaugural balls - the Commander-in-Chief's Ball, the Freedom Inaugural Ball, and the Stars & Stripes Ball - where he is expected to deliver speeches at each event.
